“ We aye here on New Year's Eve and enjoyed a wonderful meal with great service. It was pricey by Mexico City standards but on par with what you might expect for a NYE dinner in the US. Drinks. We're included in the fixed price menu. HOWEVER there was a minor issue with checking in because the restaurant requires you to pre-pay or at least put a credit card down as a deposit. This is not obvious from the Open Table reservation. Instead the restaurant will send a What'sApp message requesting this -- but as many Americans do not regularly check What'sApp we missed this and the restaurant canceled our reservation. We were ultimately seated but this happened with two other American parties. The restaurant should clarify that this step is required on Open Table, although perhaps it only applies to special events like New Year's Eve. ”

“ We stopped in Blanco Castelar for a couple drinks. Our server was kind and offered some drink recommendations. The drinks were well made. The ambiance of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Plenty of seating. ”

“ Restaurant was recommended by the concierge at W Hotel. It's an old house turn restaurant, very nice! They welcome with a drink at the entrance bar. Once your table is ready they come and take you to your table. We only had appetizers and every one of them was delicious. There's multiple waiters around at all times so it's easy to order any time you want something. Highly recommended! ”

“ This restaurant is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Mexico City Polanco. The restaurant used to be someone's palatial home. We were welcomed to a sangria at the bar and then led to our table. While the appetizers were underwhelming, they were delicious. The main courses were excellent. we also received a grilled artichoke which was cooked the perfection. ”

“ Blanco Castelar is a sister restaurant of Blanco Colima and is set in the heart of Polanco. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the entrance itself is a very instagrammable scene. When you check in for dinner, you're greeted with a drink. The inside and outdoor seating is plenty, and the food options are wonderful. They have a rooftop nightclub/bar so if you'd like to stay for longer to party it's a great spot! The service is excellent and the manager and his team go above and beyond! ”

“ Ate the following items: 1. Artichokes 2. Croquettes 3. Hamachi 4. Steak Frites I really liked everything I ate. Enjoyed vino tinto de España and lots of agua mineral. Overall, cool vibe and location. Service was great. I would recommend this place when in Mexico City. ”
